May/June Kindergarten News

Reading/Math
We are on Unit 8 in reading. During this unit on working together to overcome challenges, children will be connecting reading to humanities. By the end of this unit, they will be able to answer the question: Why do we work together?
Make sure to be practicing all the word cards. I'm beginning to assess report cards skills. Sticking to a consistent bedtime will help your child be rested and able to do his/her best.
In math we are continuing Unit 5 on partners of 10, greater, equal and less and math drawings.

Flip Flop, Flip Flop
If your child chooses to wear flip flops to school please make sure he/she has an extra pair of shoes for recess/gym. Flip flops are not the safest running shoes and I've seen some terrible wipe outs over the years. Thanks!
Thanks to all parents for your support this year, sending in needed supplies and helping with parties and field trips.
