Women in Leadership

Taking Inspiration from Women in our Community

It is a truth universally acknowledged that women have not always been welcome in the workplace and in leadership roles. We are proud at Fredonia to have a large number of intelligent, talented, and involved women leaders on our campus.

Encouraging Fredonian Women to be Involved in Campus Community and Beyond

According to the United States Department of Labor and related sources:

57% of women participate in the labor force

There is a wage gap between men and women, (dependent on variables such as race, ethnicity and age) but most women make about 73 cents to a man's dollar.

In American government, women take about about 19% of the House of Representatives and out of 31 women who have ever been elected to the Senate, 20 are currently serving.
