Welcome Back!

On the evening of April 30, the board voted to reopen Circle Public Schools for limited student access. This is NOT a full reopening. Please read carefully through this newsletter for all of the information regarding when students are allowed back in the building as well as the schedule for student check out. There is also information regarding graduation, 8th grade promotion, and awards night. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are excited to see students back in school!

Sending Children Back to School

If your child has been ill for any reason or does not feel well, do NOT send your child to school for these academic support days or check out days. Call and schedule a check out appointment with Susie or Sandy on May 21.

Academic Work

The final packet of work for students in grades K - 8 will be available for pick up on May 4 from 9 - 4 in Redwater and the high school. Buses will leave for work drop off at 10:00. There will be a bus run on Thursday, May 7 at 11:45 to pick up work for students in all grade levels K - 12 as well as deliver any lunches requested that day.

ALL academic work for ALL grade levels is due by Wednesday, May 13 at 3:00 pm. Buses will be running the week of May 11 for student support days and work could be sent back on those buses.

Student Support Days - May 11 - 13

May 11 - 13 teachers will be available for students to get help with any academic work they have not completed or need assistance with. Buses will run their normal morning route times and then leave school at 11:51 (4 hours early) to bring students home who want to come in for support time. Parents may need to drop off or pick up students for academic help. Students in grades 4 - 12 should contact their child's teacher by May 7 at 9:00 am to set up a time or times to meet with them. Please also review the schedule below regarding the plans for these days.

Bo Peep: Teachers will contact parents to set up appointment times for their students. When dropping off or picking up your child at Bo Peep, they should enter the door closest to their classroom. Parents are not permitted to enter the building to maintain proper social distancing and numbers.

Redwater: Parents/students should contact their teachers to set up an appointment to come in and work. Email is probably the best way to set up an appointment. All students should enter through the main doors. Parents are not permitted to enter the building to maintain proper social distancing and numbers.

High School: The high school will be running a shortened schedule of a normal day for each grade level in the mornings of May 11 - 13 (except seniors). Senior day will be May 14. See the schedule below. Teachers will also offer support appointments in the afternoons for students in any grade level. Student should enter through the secretary's doors or the main lobby doors of the high school. Parents are not permitted to enter the building to maintain proper social distancing and numbers.

Monday, May 11 - Freshman day

Tuesday, May 12 - Sophomore day

Wednesday, May 13 - Junior day

Thursday, May 14 - Senior day 8 - 3ish

High School Shortened Schedule on Monday through Wednesday:

8:00 - 8:30 1st period

8:30 - 9:00 2nd period

9:00 - 9:30 3rd period

9:30 - 10:00 4th period

10:00 - 10:30 5th period

10:30 - 11:00 6th period

11:00 - 11:30 7th period

Buses will leave campus at 11:51

Senior Day

Thursday, May 14 will be all about our seniors! The day will begin at 8:00 am. They will be in the building to check out and complete all the necessary items before graduation as well as some fun activities! In the afternoon, there will be a parade through town for seniors on the way to Wildcat Stadium so they can practice for graduation. Time and details on the parade will be released soon.

Check Out Days

Grade levels have been assigned a day on May 18, 19, or 20 to come into school to clean out desks and lockers, turn in chromebooks/laptops and textbooks, and complete other necessary check out requirements. This will take place from 8 - 11:51 each day and bus service will be available for students. Car riders need to be dropped off as normal as parents are not permitted to enter the building. They will be fed lunch before being sent home.

Monday, May 18 - Grades K, 2, 4, 6, and 11

Tuesday, May 19 - Grades 1, 3, 5, 7, and 10

Wednesday, May 20 - Grades 8 and 9 (8th graders will practice for their promotion ceremony in the morning as well as check out)

Thursday, May 21 - Check out by appointment only for parents opting out of sending their students back to school, contact Sandy or Susie

Students need to have a zero lunch balance before checkout can be completed. Please consider adding a little bit of extra money in their account if they are going to eat lunch a day or two after their check out day is complete.

Student Opt Out

Per board policy, families have the right to opt out of sending their child back into school for the student support days or student check out. If you choose not to send your child back for their assigned check out day, please fill out the attached form and return it to school. You will still need to check out your child; however, and return all textbooks, chromebook/laptop, library books, etc. Please contact Sandy or Susie to set up an appointment for May 21 for a parent to come in and check out their student(s).

Final quarter grade option - High School Only!!!

Due to school closure, students in grades 9 - 12 have the option to take Proficient/Fail grades for the 4th quarter only! Students and parents have 10 calendar days from the day report cards are mailed to submit a written request to the high school secretary, Susie, to change their grades from letter grades to P/F. Grades of a D- (60%) or above would receive a P. Grades of an F (59% or below) would remain an F. Students may not pick and choose which grades they want to take this option for. It is all or nothing. By taking this option, it does not help their GPA, but it does not hurt it either. High School Graduation

High school graduation will still be held on Sunday, May 17. It has been moved to 7:30 pm at Wildcat Stadium. Please bring your lawn chairs or blanket if you wish to sit on the field. You may also sit in your vehicles. We will still ask you to maintain social distancing. Please come out and support our seniors as we send them off to their next chapter!

End of the Year Activies

Awards Night will be May 14 at 7:00 pm at Wildcat Stadium.

Night of Wildcat Music Under the Starts will be May 19 at 7:00 pm at Wildcat Stadium. More details coming soon.

8th grade promotion will be May 20 at 7:00 pm at Wildcat Stadium.

Breakfast and Lunch

Breakfast and lunch will continue to be served until May 20. The lunch menu is attached below. For students who are coming in for support time and check out days, lunch will be provided for them beginning at 11. We ask any other students to come from 11:30 - 12:30 to get their lunch.

If you know you want lunch for your child or children, please call the cafeteria by 9 am so they have a rough idea of how much food to make. The direct line is (406)485-3709. If your child gets breakfast or lunch, their lunch account will be charged.

Tuesday: Biscuits and gravy, fruit, milk

Wednesday: Sausage or bacon with egg and cheese english muffin, fruit, milk

Thursday: donuts, fruit, cheese stick, milk

School Supply Order Grades K - 8

We are offering an option this year for parents to order their child's school supplies through the school. All of the student's school supplies will be ready for them on the first day of school next year. Parents are still responsible for purchasing a backpack and PE shoes. Please see the attached order form for more information. Contact Sandy in the Redwater office for more information.

Kindergarten Round Up

Kindergarten Round Up has been rescheduled for Friday, July 17 from 9 - 11 am in Bo Peep. If you have not filled out the google form for a child who will be attending kindergarten in the fall, please click here to fill it out. Visit the school website https://www.circleschools.org/ to fill out and return registration paperwork to Sandy by June 1 please.
