Holmes Elementary students are invited to participate in our annual book swap. This is a chance to load up on new books for summer reading. The book swap will take place Friday, June 1st from 9:00-10:00. Bring in your gently used books and trade them in for Book Bucks used to purchase "new to you" books to read!
Please see the attached PDF to learn how the book swap works!

Our final community meeting of the school year is Wednesday, May 9th at 6:30pm. We will vote in the new PTO board members, approve next year’s budget, and introduce new initiatives for next year. Bring a neighbor or another parent who you know will be interested! Open to all families, and free childcare is provided. Hope to see you there!
Starting May 14th, Holmes will combine a week of classroom presentations with a jam-packed evening of hands-on experiments and demos for kids to experience from
6-8 pm on Thursday, May 17 at Holmes!
During STEM Week, each class will host a special guest to demonstrate or highlight STEM-related concepts. We're looking for members of the Holmes community to translate their job (or hobby!) to the next generation of tinkerers, builders, and budding scientists. Presentations are 30 minutess max and include a brief overview of a topic, a quick hands-on demo, and (of course) questions and answers!
Presenters, take this unique opportunity to be a local celebrity to your special student; it’s a simple and fun way to be in the classroom and see your child and their classmates enjoy what you enjoy. If you are interested, simply fill out this form. We need volunteers, please indicate if there is a specific classroom you'd like to present to or if you are open to any class.
Can't do a full presentation during the week? No worries - we're also looking for STEM Night volunteers to support our vendors, to shepherd students around, and to generally make STEM Night a success. Sign up here!
