Back to School Bash is On!
Summer Reading Final Totals Released
2017-2018 Homeroom Parents
Holiday parties are a highlight of every school year! If you are interested in helping in your child’s class for any of this year’s socials, please fill out the sign-up sheet in their classroom on Back to School Night. Our socials will be held from 2:00pm to 3:00 pm on the following dates:
October 31
December 22
February 14.
If you are willing to be the head parent for your child’s classroom, please indicate that on the sign-up. We need one head parent for each classroom to collect money, coordinate parent volunteers and handle correspondence between the teachers and home & school.
We will have a meeting to discuss this years’ socials on Wednesday, September 20th, at 6:00pm, just prior to the first H&S meeting. If you have any questions, or cannot sign up on Thursday night, please contact Diana McClure (dmcclure414@verizon.net). It would be helpful to indicate your child’s classroom and which parties you can attend this year. Thanks for your support!
From the Library!
The Fall Book Fair is right around the corner! This year the fair takes place during the school day on October 3rd in the Salford Hills Gym. As always, we really need help with set up, pack up, and everything in between! The volunteer schedule is set up in two hour increments. Please use the Sign Up Genius below to add your name to a slot. This wonderful event would not be possible without you. Thanks in advance for your help.
Team Spirit Day - Thursday, September 14
Salford Hills Supports Houston
We've planned a special Spirit Day on Thursday, September 14 collecting donations to support our friends in Houston, Texas suffering from Hurricane Harvey. One dollar (but any contributions welcome) grants a Salford Hills student the opportunity to wear clothing associated with a "team". Sports, Cub Scouts or Brownies, Dance, Gymnastics or Salford Hills Spiritwear (because we're a team!) all are great ideas for this first of a kind Salford Hills event. Teaching empathy and social responsibility are meaningful endeavors which we cherish. Spirit Days are valuable opportunities to help our children understand the importance of sharing with others.
Volunteers Wanted!
Did you know your kids love seeing their family members around school? Volunteer for a school activity, help out in the classroom, or help with activities at home. Get involved and make a difference in a child’s day!
Please complete the Hands Across the District Volunteer Form. Click on the link below and check out all the fun activities our Home and School committee runs:
