Wreaths Across America
Burkholder Middle School's National Junior Honor Society is working with Wreaths Across America to raise funds to place wreaths on veterans' graves at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.
With all the money collected, the wreaths will be placed on veterans' graves during a special ceremony on December 17, 2022, starting at 9:00 AM, at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.
There are more than 30,000 veterans buried at Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Last year, nearly 10,000 wreaths were donated. Our goal at Burkholder Middle School is to place a wreath on 150 graves. Join us in our mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach. Wreaths Across America bins/canisters will be placed at businesses around our school to collect customers' loose change.
For information on sponsoring a wreath, visit Burkholder Middle School's donation page from Wreaths Across America at this link.
Help us honor our lost veterans! If you have any questions, please contact me, Ms. Cazett at cazetel@nv.ccsd.net or Ms. Means at Pandea1@nv.ccsd.net or call us at 702-799-8080.
