Before making a decision to cancel school, EPS administrators monitor and review road , parking lot conditions, temperatures and precipitation amounts. When schools must be closed due to inclement weather, the following considerations are important:

  • EPS endeavors to announce its decision to close between 5-5:15 a.m. and will post that information to the district's social media platforms, school websites, via EPS text messaging and will share it with local media. When possible, EPS will decide on closure the evening before classes and activites are canceled.
  • When weather conditions develop during the school day, schools will NOT be dismissed early because thousands of parents work and students could potentially be arriving home to a locked house.
  • If the weather starts to deteriorate during the school day, parents may pick up their student(s) early. Missed school will count as an absence.

💻 EPS Device Protection Plan |

With the continuing need for EPS elementary students to take district devices home, the Student Technology Protection Plan for the second semester has been opened for purchase. The current plan, purchased for the first semester, expires January 5, 2021. The Edmond Public Schools Student Technology Protection Plan (STPP) has been established to give parents the option to purchase protection covering the repair or replacement costs of the technology package. The cost for the protection plan for each semester is $12.50 per student. Families are strongly encouraged but not required to participate in this voluntary program. Payments for the protection plan will be accepted online via the InTouch payment system beginning Monday, December 7, 2020 through Friday, January 15, 2021. The plan is effective from the date of purchase through the last day of school.

For additional technology information, please visit our Technology/Support page on the district website.

Thank you for your time,

EPS Technology Department

🏆IXL Tournament Champions 🏆

🎉 IXL Tournament

Sadly we did not beat Westfield. We are so proud of our student's hard work! We answered 318,171 questions in the month of November!

We have answered 954,845 questions this year so far. We can hit 1,000,000 by Winter Break if we try really hard!

We are competing against Orvis Riser for the month of December. Encourage your students to get on at home and especially over winter break. We will be checking it periodically. If we catch them on over the break, we will write their names down, and they will get a candy cane when we return in January.
