3rd/4th Graders Attend Science Expo

On September 29, our 3rd and 4th graders attended the science expo in Madison, along with over 700 other area students. We got to attend many different sessions; many were "hands-on" or were self-guided. Our students did a great job and learned quite a bit in the process!

September PAB meeting

We had a nice turnout for our September PAB (Parent Advisory Board) meeting. Mrs. Vanness was our guest teacher and she told us some of the things she loved about Montessori and some of the things going on in her classroom. We also reviewed our Grandparents Day celebration and our Book Fair.

We have decided to sell pasta as our fundraiser this year. We will kick it off on November 7 and sell through most of the month of November.

You can read the minutes of the September meeting on our district and click on the "Lincoln Montessori" tab. From there, click the PAB tab on the left-hand side of the screen.

Ways to Help Your Child Learn at Home

Even though we are not sending traditional homework home this year, we still want you to be helping your child learn at home.

Check out the link below; it provides fun ideas to help your child learn and make the most of your family time together. Although the text says these are ways to help your child prepare for Kindergarten, I think you can use many of these ideas with any elementary-aged child!

I included the link below and a screen shot of the October calendar for you!
