Girls Swim Wins GAC South Championship

The girls swim program won the GAC South Conference Championship on Thursday night. It was the second conference championship in program history. The Lady Vikings were led by 10 first place finishes out of 12 scored events. Our girls swim program will compete at the State Meet at Rec Plex this weekend for their shot at several state championship performances. Wrestling Qualifies Eight For State Tournament

The #2 state ranked Howell wrestling program came into the district tournament hoping to walk away with several wrestlers that would qualify for state this coming weekend at Mizzou and they did just that. Overall eight Howell wrestlers qualified for state and will represent the Vikings. The Vikings were led by district championship performances by Antonio Jenkins-Harris, Dylan Komperda and Jack Flynn. You can view the results for our state qualifiers at the district tournament below. Good luck to our eight wrestlers representing Howell at the state level this weekend at Mizzou!

Golden Girls Finish Fifth In Nation At UDA Nationals

Congratulations to our Golden Girls on finishing 5th in the nation in the hip-hop category at the UDA Nationals. In addition to the hip-hop category the Golden Girls also advanced out of pre-lims in the jazz category. The GG's have spent the past nine months preparing for the UDA Nationals. Next up for the GG's is the state competition at Family Arena on February 25th. Congratulations again to the GG's on their strong showing at the national level and good luck at state!

Cordia & Hardy Named All-Americans By Prep Volleyball

Congratulations to Kennedy Cordia and Mikayla Hardy for being named Honorable Mention All-Americans by prepvolleyball.com The two standouts helped lead the Lady Vikings to the most wins in program history and the first appearance in the State Championship game. Kennedy will be furthering her education and playing career at St. Louis University in the fall while Mikayla will further her education and volleyball career at the University of Chicago. Congratulations to these two young ladies on a great season and a great honor.

Maddi Leigh Named SCC Sports Hall of Fame Outstanding Female Athlete Of The Year

Congratulations to Maddi Leigh for being named the St. Charles County Amateur Sports Hall of Fame "Oustanding Female Senior Athlete of the Year!" Maddi has had an outstanding high school career at Howell both on and off the course and track. She will be attending Oakland University in the fall to further her education and cross country/track career. You can view her many accomplishments at Howell below. Congratulations again to Maddi on a great honor and great high school career at Francis Howell.

Scholar Bowl Finishes 2nd At GAC Competition

Congratulations to Scholar Bowl for their stong showing at the GAC Tournament last weekend. The Howell Scholar Bowl team tied for second place at the competition hosted by Orchard Farm. Congratulations to team Members: Ganon Evans, Kaylie Fernandez, Jack Thessen, and Michael Spenser.

Freshman Girls Basketball Wins GAC Tournament Championship

Congratulations to the freshman girls basketball program on winning the GAC Tournament Championship on Thursday night. The Lady Vikings finished the season and undefeated 13-0. The future of Francis Howell Lady VIkings Basketball looks very bright! Congratulations to Coach Carlson and the freshman girls on a great season!

Wintergurard Hosts WGI Event

On Saturday (2/4) the Howell Band hosted a WGI Guard competition on the campus of Francis Howell High School. The event was attended by nearly 40 high schools from across the midwest. The Howell "A" Guard made finals and placed 16th in their first outing of the year. The "B" Guard did not make finals but had a good first performance of the contest season. Howell DECA Qualifies 51 Students For State

Students of the Francis Howell High School Chapter of Missouri DECA: An Association of Marketing Students joined over 720 high school marketing students at the annual District Career Development Conference held February 8, 2017 at the Chesterfield Mall. Francis Howell had 51 qualify to go to the State Career DECA Competition at the Lodge of the Four Seasons. These students have an opportunity to advance to the International DECA Conference. This year’s International Career Development Conference will be held April 25-30 in Anaheim California.


DECA competitive events are designed to contribute to the development of competencies needed for careers in marketing, management and merchandising, to motivate students to assume responsibility for self-improvement and self-discipline, to assist students in acquiring a realistic self-concept through individual and group activities and to provide visibility for the educational goals and objectives of marketing education.


DECA is the only international organization specifically designed to reinforce the occupational competencies of high school students who wish to pursue a career in marketing, merchandising or management. Over 180,000 students from the United States, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands are involved in this organization.

Spring Meet The Coaches Set For February 15th

The spring season "Meet the Coaches" has been set for February 15th. Eligibility paperwork turn in will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the high school commons with the meeting portion beginning at 6:00 p.m. All eligibility paperwork must be complete to be turned in. All students wanting to participate in a spring MSHSAA sponsored activity must have this completed prior to the first day on February 27th. It is recommended that all paperwork be turned in at the "Meet the Coaches" event on February 15th. To ensure participation on February 27th all fully complete paperwork must be turned in no later than February 23rd at noon . A link to all eligibility paperwork can be found below.

Boys Basketball Extends Win Streak To Nine Games

The boy's basketball program extended their win streak to nine games on Friday night following a win over FHN. The Vikings are having one of the best seasons in program history and currently have an 18-4 record. The boy's program has four games remaining in the regular season before they head into the district tournament that will be hosted by Eureka. New Howell Club Aims To Help Grant Wishes

Francis Howell High School offers over 70 activities, clubs and sports for students to get involved in. Additionally, students have the opportunity to start their own club after acquiring ten members and a staff sponsor. A new club that has been developed at Howell is the Kids For Wish Kids Club. The club aims to help support the Make A Wish Foundation through granting a local kid their wish. Below you can find more information regarding their efforts for the 16-17 school year. Save The Bees

The Save the Bees Club is selling flower seeds during lunches on Monday the 13th and Tuesday the 14th for $3 per box. The seeds will grow into flowers that pollinators, like bees and butterflies, need in order to live. Help save the bees by planting seeds!
