Trimester 2 Grades
Teachers will be working on wrapping up their grading for Trimester 2 this week. All Trimester 2 final grades should be available on Infinite Campus by the end of the day on Friday, March 26th.
Homework Club
Homework Club has started! At Homework club, students will be provided with a quiet, structured environment. Students will work with our staff to complete assignments. They will also strengthen important skills such as organization, task initiation and study skills.
- Virtual (Wednesdays only): The virtual homework club will be held on Wednesdays. Wednesdays virtual homework club will run from 2:20 and end at 3:20. Use the link below to access Wednesday's Homework Club. Virtual Homework Club - Wed Link Meeting ID: 862 7857 7884 Passcode: 604815
- In-Person (Tuesdays and Thursdays): In-person homework club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school, from 2:20-3:20 PM. Please sign your child up for a day related to their cohort (link included below). Students should report to the cafeteria.

Introduction to Youth Suicide Prevention

This presentation will discuss Youth Mental Health including an overview of disaster mental health, youth depression and youth suicide. Participants will learn to understand suicidal intensity, warning signs, risk factors and protective factors as well as how to intervene with a young person that may be struggling. Research indicates that just one caring adult can have a profound and life saving impact for a young person who is struggling. Attend this workshop to learn the basic skills that you may need to be that caring adult

The goal of this parent presentation is to review many of the common themes in mental health that have emerged during the pandemic, and to discuss strategies for preparing students to return to in-person learning in the near future.

COVID-19
Below is the full list of symptoms for which caregivers should monitor their children:
❏ Fever (100.0° Fahrenheit or higher), chills, or shaking chills
❏ Cough (not due to other known cause, such as chronic cough)
❏ Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
❏ New loss of taste or smell
❏ Sore throat
❏ Headache when in combination with other symptoms
❏ Muscle aches or body aches
❏ Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
❏ Fatigue, when in combination with other symptoms
❏ Nasal congestion or runny nose (not due to other known
causes, such as allergies) when in combination with other symptoms.
If your child is experiencing symptoms, has tested positive for COVID-19, has a household member who is COVID positive, or has been informed that they are a close contact to someone who is positive, please reach out to to the school nurse at msnurse@kingphilip.org or 508-541-3457 for guidance. LOCAL EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY
Boston College Splash
BC Splash is a 1-day event held at Boston College each semester where students in grades 7-12 can take fun, engaging classes that are taught and designed by our undergraduate and graduate students!
In response to COVID-19 the event will be virtual and free of charge this semester, but BC has put together a great day and fantastic lineup of classes over zoom for the students. They can take classes such as The Science Behind Photography, Intro to Irish Mythology, How to Win Any Argument, and many others!
BC Splash will be held virtually on Sunday, March 28th from 9:30am - 4:15pm.
