WE ARE COMSTOCK!!!
Push, Don't Pity, Students in Poverty
As we go about the daily work we do, it is important to keep our scholars academic, and social emotional state at the core of our focus. I've had the pleasure of watching Linda Cliatt-Wayman TEDTalk and, each time I am reminded of the importance of our work.
With the many stressors brought on by the Spring semester and academic performance and accountability, it is a reminder to me that we must maintain our focus on scholars academic and emotional success. They must know that we will lead them, love them, and hold them to a higher academic and emotional standard. As the campus adults, we must model what we expected from our scholars. That modeling begins with adult-to-adult, adult-to-student, student-to-adult, and student-to-student. Remember, our scholars will follow our led. Together, We can make the impossible possible.
