Jersey Village 3-Day Practicum
See you on Monday, May 8th!
Thank you for registering for the Free 3-Day Practicum in Jersey Village May 8th - 10th. We are thrilled that you will be joining us! Can you believe that our practicum begins in less than one week?
We look forward to spending three days together learning and encouraging each other in the hard work of educating the next generation. You, along with many other parents, will practice the skills needed to teach your children and youth how to recover the lost tools of learning, while also learning to see Him in all you teach.
Our speaker will be Jessica Wilson. Over the past eight years, it has been Jessica's desire to guide homeschool parents and students into the beauty of a classical education. She has coordinated various support groups for homeschoolers over the years. Along with serving as a Tutor and assisting with Challenge B by helping lead Debate and Mock Trial. Her hearts desire is to encourage moms, especially homeschoolers, and give them confidence to do what God has called them to do.
Please carefully read through the information listed below regarding arrival, camps, training and lunch. If you have any questions, please contact your Practicum Hostess, Kristen Blanford at email@example.com or your Practicum Coordinator, Donna Lybarger at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you on Monday!

We are grateful for the use of this church facility and purpose to respect the building at all times knowing that our conduct is an example to others. As a Christian organization, we want to exemplify Christ in our actions - keeping the building clean, not running in the hallways and being polite and courteous to others. Parents, it is imperative that you watch your children at all times. You also may want to tag important possessions (backpacks, notebooks, etc.) with your child’s first and last name so that we can reunite lost items with their proper owner. We will collect an offering for the church on Tuesday. Please make any checks payable to Champions Forest Baptist.
Arrival, Student Camps, Training, & Other Items
Registration begins at 8:30 am on Monday and 8:45 on Tuesday and Wednesday. When you arrive at the church, please follow the signs. Adults and children will register in the lobby the first day. You will be required to have an adult sign your child in and out each day in their camp classroom. We will also have a numbering/sticker system for younger children to match children with parents for safety reasons. You will be required to show your “half” of the sticker/number to pick up your children.
The Practicum will begin promptly at 9 a.m., and conclude at 4 p.m. each day, so please allow extra time for registration the first day.
There will Foundations, Essentials, and Challenge materials available for purchase. If you are registered for Classical Conversations in the fall, and have not yet purchased your materials, this is a great opportunity to get them and not have to pay shipping. There will also be many good classical books available for purchase, as well. Please feel free to browse the bookstore on Monday - Wednesday. Our on-site bookstore accepts cash and credit, but no longer accepts checks.
