PurposeFull People character traits for our students of the month
February 2024
During the month of February, our Hillside staff will be celebrating scholars who demonstrate honesty. We will focus on thinking and acting in a way that feels consistent, kind, and sincere. Additionally, we will talk about the cost of lying and what it does to our body and mind. We would encourage our families to practice this trait at home too!
Honesty: being truthful in what you say and do.
Think About It
Here are some questions to ask your child at home or talk about as a family:
K-2 Sometimes, people cheat or do no not play by the rules when they are playing a game. How do you think they feel if they win the game by cheating? Do you think it is better to cheat and win or be honest and lose? When is it most difficult for you to tell the truth?
3-5 How important is it to you that your friends are honest? When your friends are dishonest with you, how does it make you feel? What should you do about it? Being honest is an important part of being a person with integrity. Some people say that integrity means, “doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.” What might it feel like to be a person with integrity?
