Cullins-Lake Pointe Elementary
Cullins Chronicle week of October 16, 2017
From the Principal
It's been a great start to the week! What a welcome change having this beautiful fall weather!
Our Cullins staff is so excited to welcome all of our families to our first Family Reading Night on October 25th at 6:00 p.m. We will celebrate reading and our teachers are looking forward to sharing some ideas that you can use to read with your child(ren) at home!
Students are welcome to dress as their favorite book character that evening. We will have food and fun!!! Please RSVP with the flyer coming home next week so we can plan enough food for everyone.
Please join us tomorrow evening for Chick-Fil-A Night! It's always fun to see our families out in the community!
If you haven't signed up for the Cullins Remind 101, text @CLPfam to 810-10. We send out reminders via text through this system.
Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the newsletter to see the flyers for this week. Click on the flyer of interest and it should open up for you to view.
Have a great week!

Wow, it is October already! Autumn has finally arrived (at least a little) and your PTA is busy with many great activities.
We had a great first PTA meeting of the year last night with guest speaker Officer Reeves speaking about keeping our kids safe online (and the offline repercussions of online behavior).

It is not too late to join PTA, there are Membership applications at the school or you can join online at joinpta.org or download a form from https://www.pt-avenue.com/ Organization Code: CullinsLake.
We have been challenged by the district to have 250 members and we still have a little ways to go, so join today.
PT-Avenue.com is also the place to go to check out ongoing Volunteer opportunities and upcoming programs!
Our Fall Fundraiser was a great success – Orders were turned in for over $11,000! Delivery is late October / early November. The PTA keeps half the proceeds, so that is $5,500 to go towards programs and equipment for the school! Top of the Wish List – Drum Fit Kit for PE (ask your student about it! Super fun activity, but currently there is only one kit for the district that all the schools have to share).
We have a fun way for the students (or parents) to surprise their friend – Boo Grams. They will be for sale next week for delivery on Halloween!
Mark your Calendar for the next PTA Program:
November 8, 207 @ 6:30 PM
