Winter break begins tomorrow, Friday, December 23. We look forward to welcoming students back to our buildings on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. We hope all families, students and staff enjoy a relaxing, safe and healthy winter break.

National School Lunch Week recipe contest

The Nutrition Services department celebrated National School Lunch Week by holding student recipe contests at each elementary school. The winners won the opportunity to serve their winning recipe to their classmates at lunch for one day. Winners served their recipes at school throughout the month of November. Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to our wonderful Nutrition Services staff for putting together this fun contest!

Let's Talk About It!

District mental health staff recently started a monthly blog, "Let's Talk About It!" that will address substance use and mental health challenges that students and families may experience. The goal is to provide information, quality resources and support related to mental health and substance use. Read the first entry about vaping here.


Know the Facts! Vaping nicotine can increase anxiety symptoms and increase stress levels, yet many teens falsely believe vaping can relieve anxiety and stress.
