Back to the Plow

This will be an abbreviated focus. I have sincerely tried to make this a main priority every week and feel like I have really been able to do that - for that, I'm grateful to Miller and Mitchell, and all of the feedback that this campus has given me concerning the Focus. It may seem like a small thing - or maybe meaningless for some - with all the boxing and nonsense that I put in it, but I have really enjoyed it, and I look forward to taking pics of the kids and teachers. All of the principals and the White House receive a copy each week.

Thanks for being supportive with it.

As we transition to the end of the year, keep your focus on instruction. It is all of our responsibility to continue to push our kids to greater heights and to remind them that, in this building, work is never finished.

Y'all have a great Friday!

Upcoming Dates.....

Tomorrow: Super C Fish Fry, 4:00 - 7:00

I will send out some more dates next week.

Manny Pacquiao vs. Tim Bradley

Saturday night might be the last fight for Manny Pacquiao. Even if you don't follow boxing or sports, you have all probably heard of him.

When he was a little kid, he sold donuts on the streets in the Philipines to make money for his family.

He is the only boxer in history to win the lineal championship in 4 different divisions, and that will most likely never be broken. When he fought De la Hoya people were furious with promoters due to De la Hoya's natural size advantage. If you watch the clip below, you will see it. In the end, though, it didn't matter much.

Pacquiao is a congressman in the Philipines and is, most likely, their next president.

It's a long way from selling donuts.
