Dia de los Muertos This past Monday our students were able to celebrate “Day of the Dead” at the display our Spanish teachers set up in the front of the school. This tradition celebrates and honors those lost, and students could complete activities and coloring. | Taking Community ActionThe Jr. Beta Club met on Wednesday to discuss how they will take action in their community through student-led service projects. Students were instructed to research an issue that interests them and come up with solutions to these issues that they can execute this year. | Japanese Connections Japanese Connections students who are taking a 9-week exposure course with Sensei Davis are working hard making their own flashcards of 10 characters and are quizzing each other to prepare for an assessment. |

Hands On Ridgeview is this Sunday!
Remote Learning Day is Nov. 8
Due to statewide elections and schools being used as polling places, students will have a remote learning day (no in-person school) on Tuesday, Nov. 8. Teachers will provide students asynchronous work by Monday, Nov. 7. There will not be live instruction or live class meetings.
$5 Non-Uniform Day: Wednesday, Nov. 9
For $5 cash students not only contribute to our PTA & Foundation, but also they can wear non-uniform attire. Our non-uniform dress guidelines are described here. This will be a monthly opportunity to support PTA & Foundation and for students to dress down. Otherwise, normal uniform applies.

FCS Family Engagement Month
November is National Family Engagement Month. Join us for "Family Matters," an exciting event celebrating FCS families and their role in the education and well-being of their students. There will be interactive workshops, hands-on activities, vendors, entertainment, giveaways, food and a few special guests! Tickets are required per person for entry. Families may attend one or all events at four locations from November 14 through November 17. Please RSVP by November 1.
