Pacifists Against The War
"..we wont come back 'til its over over there." This is a line from the song "Over There.", by George M. Cohan. This song was the most popular song from this time and this line from the song is what the pacifists were trying to get across to the people that were "pro-war".
Peace Symbol
This is what the pacifists were all about. Peace.
No Fighting No War No Trouble No More
Pacifists slogan.
"Nutty Idea"
After The War
A number of peace groups formed after 1914, many consisted of women. The wanted a say in matters of war. Some groups even hoped that once all American women won the right to vote, they would use that power to end war.
1914 Pacifists
We will stop at nothing to get our word out there. War is not a good thing and it never will be.
