Digital and Analog Signals

By: Brie-Ann and Gaby

The Differences

In analog technology is when a wave is recorded or used in its original form. In digital technology the analog wave is sampled at some interval, and then turned into numbers that are stored in the digital device.

Analog Signals

Representation of an analog waveform, infinite resolution. Detects electric noise and distortion introduced by communication channels and signal processing operations.

Digital Signals

Refers to an electrical signal that is converted into pattern of bits.
