This spring your child will be taking the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) Grade-Level Assessments in order to evaluate your student’s progress toward the Missouri Learning Standards. Grade-Level Assessments provide important information that contributes to decisions concerning individual students, groups of students, and educational programs. Assessments are given in the subject areas of Communication Arts (grades 3-8), Mathematics (grades 3-8) and Science (grades 5 and 8).
Please help us by having your students to school on time if it is a testing day for their grade level as testing will begin promptly at 8:45 a.m. Testing will take place on these days for most of the day. If you can please do not schedule appointments on these days, we would greatly appreciate it. The testing sessions will be split throughout the entire school day to give students needed breaks between sessions.

Face Mask and Water Bottle Reminders
Our water fountains are turned off this year so students aren't touching the water fountains. Instead, students may refill water bottles. Our bottle fillers are touchless which helps prevent the spread of any germs. Please make sure your child has a water bottle each day for school.
House Point App-Parent Sign Up Information
The house point app will let you see the live school house point totals. It will also allow you to see when your individual child earns a house point. The staff are also telling you a category where your child earned a house point. Also, teachers may sometimes leave a personal note for families to learn more about why your child earned the point. The teacher name listed is the staff member who assigned the house point. In your app, you will be able to set this app up to give you a pushed alert on your device whenever your child earns a house point. You will need to download the RCA House Points app (Google or Apple) onto a device or use the website https://rcahousepoints.com.
If you are interested in this, you will need to sign up below for each student you would like to have access to. You will only be able to see your own child's house points and school totals. This will be an opt in only. We will only share the sign up information with parents who want to opt into it. If you sign up, you will receive a paper with the school code and student code for your child. Classroom teachers will send this paper home once the office gives it to them. We would expect to do this as quickly as we can.
We are also hoping to take photos of our students. This way their photo will be in the graphic. Please note you will only be able to see your own child's information at all times.
Late Start on Monday, April 12
SCE will open doors at 10:20 a.m. The tardy bell will ring at 10:35 a.m. on Late Start days.
WSD Kindergarten Registration for 2021-2022 School Year
Kindergarten registration is for all children who will turn five BEFORE August 1, 2021. Parents are asked to register online using the Quick Registration and Screening form. If your child has not been screened at the Parents as Teachers office or his/her preschool this year, appointments are required and can be made when you register online. Screening appointments are available in the morning and evening and are filled on a first come, first served basis. Please note that due to social distancing and space limitations, it may be difficult to accommodate siblings at the screen appointment. Please be sure to check your address with the District’s Boundary Locator tool to determine which school your child will attend prior to registering your child for kindergarten.
All screening appointments will take place at the Parents as Teachers Office at One Campus Drive, Wentzville, MO 63385. Your information will be sent to your child’s elementary school. The school will contact you to complete your child's kindergarten registration. To access a list of necessary materials and documents for registration, please see our Kindergarten Registration Procedures page. For additional information about kindergarten registration and screening, or to check if your child has a current screening on file, please contact the Parents as Teachers office at 636-327-3863, ext. 22281.
If you do not have a Missouri birth certificate, you may obtain one at a cost of $15 from the St. Charles County Community Health/Environment-Vital Statistics Office, 1650 Boone’s Lick, St. Charles, MO 63301, or by calling (636) 949-7558 for more information.

A Note from the Nurses
Greetings from Nurse Angie and Nurse Val:
We are looking forward to Spring and some warmer weather. We know with Spring comes allergy symptoms, while still also dealing with Covid. As you know, Covid symptoms may include many of the same common allergy symptoms. Please be mindful during this allergy season when determining if your child is well enough for school. Please see the link below for some more information.
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/need-extra-precautions/infographic-overlap-symptoms.html
Along with allergies, we see an increase in some Asthma activity as well. Please be sure that if we need to have an inhaler here at school for your child and we don’t, to please contact us and let us know so we can get the appropriate paperwork to you.
Another reminder, that if your child did not see their pediatrician or primary care provider this year due to Covid, it is very important that children see their physician each and every year for a wellness check and to be sure they are up to date on required immunizations as well.
Big Smiles, our Mobile Dentist will be returning to Stone Creek on 5/12/21. If your child was not seen in February, but you would like them to be seen, forms will be sent home closer to that time, or you can fill out a form online with the link below.

REMINDER: IF SOMEONE IN THE HOUSEHOLD IS BEING TESTED FOR COVID, OR THERE IS A HIGH LIKELIHOOD THEY ARE GOING TO BE TESTED, ALL STUDENTS NEED TO STAY HOME UNTIL THE TEST RESULTS ARE BACK.
Mask Hygiene-
It is important to be sure that students masks are being washed regularly at home, and if they have an extra to put a clean extra in their backpack in a plastic bag.
If you have gotten this far in the Nurses Notes, send us an email with your students name and teacher and they will get a housepoint!
Stay Well!
