Riverside - May 2024
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Riverside Eagle Family,
As we approach the end of another successful school year, I wanted to take a moment to update you on some important upcoming events and activities.
Firstly, I would like to extend my appreciation to our dedicated students for their hard work and commitment throughout the year. Your resilience and perseverance have been truly inspiring, and we are proud of all that you have accomplished.
With the end of the year rapidly approaching, we have some important testing dates on the horizon. These assessments are crucial for measuring student progress and ensuring that we are providing the support and resources necessary for your success. Please be sure to mark your calendars for these dates and make every effort to be present and prepared.
Additionally, we are excited to announce a series of end-of-year activities designed to celebrate the achievements of our students and foster a sense of community within our school. From Field Days to musical performances, there will be plenty of opportunities for students to showcase their talents and create lasting memories with their peers.
Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation. Together, we can make these final weeks of the school year both productive and memorable.
With Warm Regards,
Allyson LaVictoire
Principal

SOARing in 4th Grade!
Fourth graders were excited to share Black History Reports with kindergartners that they have been working on throughout the month. They shared about the Life and achievements of historical figures. They were also to share everything they have learned about the writing process throughout the year and fourth grade.
SOARing in 5th Grade!
5th grade has been busy making things for different appreciation days throughout the Spring. They also have their BIG end of the year field trip to OWA theme park to celebrate moving onto middle school. 5th grade has also been involved with the Grasses in Classes program and will be going on a field trip in May to finish out the program. There they will prep some more grass to be planted and participate in more hands on activities. They have been busy learning and growing a lot during their final year here at Riverside. We are proud of them!
Words and Reminders from our PE Coaches
Riverside T-Shirts are still on sale for $15. See coach to get your shirt during PE class!
A few words from our media specialist
Just a reminder:
Please help your child locate and return overdue library books. As you know, books have become very costly. We have already had several books returned wet from spills in backpacks. Unfortunately, this is unrepairable damage and these books must be disposed of. Help your child protect his/ her library books by placing them (or the drink) in a Ziplock bag when they are carried back and forth from home to school. We love our library books and want to keep them available for all our students to enjoy!
All books are DUE no later than May 16th.

Science Night
Riverside was thankful to have the Emerald Coast Science Center come to campus and share 15 different stations with our families. The theme was about space and was a "blast!"
