Some Birdville Hashtags and When to Use Them

#BirdvilleLearns: Use this hashtag to share your own professional learning, learning happening in your classroom, and any resources you would like to share with other Birdville ISD stakeholders.

#BISDShines: Use this when you want to share something great in Birdville.

#wearebirdvilleisd: Use this when you share photos of yourself or another BISD staff member.

Can I use more than one hashtag in a Tweet? Absolutely, but you don't want to #spam #with #too #many #hashtags. Best practices recommend using no more than 3 hashtags in a post.

Click here to learn more about hashtags (#) and use them to find people to follow to grow your PLN.

Task 3

  1. Use your Twitter or Facebook account to connect with us on Social media using the links above.
  2. Share a new hire selfie with #WeAreBirdvilleISD on Twitter or Facebook!

Click here to visit the Digital Learning Platform.

Task 4

  1. Visit the Digital Learning Blog- http://bisddlp.blogspot.com/
  2. Explore the posts.
  3. Find a post that describes something you would like to try in your classroom.
  4. Leave a comment on the post.

Activity 5: Project Innovate

Big picture

Project Innovate is a project that provides iPad Mini devices to BISD staff. This technology will enable teachers to:

  • participate in personalized professional learning with anytime/anywhere access to information, experts, resources, and more
  • access productivity, communication, collaboration, and creation tools/resources
  • model the use of technology as a tool for learning
  • learn more about how to incorporate the student use of mobile devices/technology in in meaningful and engaging learning activities

The Digital Learning Team offers training opportunities a few times per year. To attend training, you must have confirmed enrollment status in Eduphoria Workshop.

Prior to the training you will be sent directions to complete a few tasks before attending the session. Please be sure to check your email for these directions.

Please note: Project Innovate iPads are not intended to be used as a student device.

iPad cases are a personal preference therefore, BISD does not provide cases for Project Innovate iPads.

Task 5

  1. Go to edugateway.birdvilleschools.net.
  2. Sign in with your BISD username and password.
