Vision
#AlltheWayUp
We continue to make great strides toward our vision of creating catalyst of change, life-long learners, and competitors in a global society as we are racing AlltheWayUp.
As we all know, the challenging environments where our students came from or the scarce resources they have may not be the best predictors of academic success which widens the gap of inequity in our educational system. Until someone plants that "seed" of change, there will be a difference. Each one of us, as educators, are the agents of change, and we have the power to plant those "seeds" around students to build life long learners who are competitors in a global society.
- Let's commit to not let excuses cloud our goals and daily work.
- As a team, we have what it takes to solve any complex problem and dig deeper to find the root of our issues and struggles.
- We are a few weeks away from our first round of STAAR exams and while we know that these are not the only things that define us, they are a significant component of our accountability system.
Therefore, it is essential that we continue to work together efficiently as teams and put in the targeted work required to be successful.
Remember,
- stay focus on the high leverage TEKS, implement action plans, and use data to drive our instruction.
- actively participate in our PLC sessions. Collaborate with our teams; we know that success in education is powered by effective teams and effective practices.
- prepare and plan our lessons so that teaching is purposeful and we are able to maximize instructional time.
challenge students through academic rigor. Let’s make students use reasoning beyond initial thinking. Let’s ignite in them the desire to know more and apply new
leverage the positive relationships we have built so that students trust teachers and teachers trust administrators
