District 41 End of Year Message

June 6, 2019

Dear District 41 Community,

It was a great last day of school across the District! You could feel the excitement at each of the buildings.

As I made my last visit to each of the school buildings today, I was reminded how far we have come over the past six years that I have served as your superintendent. There has been an incredible amount of learning and caring taking place within our schools. This year, my last year in District 41, has been extra special as we began the year with “Start with Hello,” a part of the national Sandy Hook Promise initiative. Kindness has spread throughout our community starting the first day of school and continuing through today. I am incredibly proud of all of the students and staff who embraced our theme this year.

I was also reflecting on the major transformations of our learning environments with the replacement of portable classrooms and the many other facilities improvements made possible by the support of the community. I am proud of what we were able to accomplish together for our learners.

I sincerely thank all District families for your support and trust. It has been an honor to serve all of you and I wish District 41 all the best.

Have a fun and safe summer!

Sincerely,

Dr. Paul Gordon
