Grade 7Geometry
Geometric Construction Workshop
Success Criteria
I can construct related lines, angles, triangles and quadrilaterals
Specifically Skills:
- Parallel Lines
- Perpendicular Lines
- Lines Intersecting at: 30 degrees, 45 degrees and 60 degrees using a compass, straight edge and protractor
- Construct angle bisectors
- Construct perpendicular bisectors
I can use proper mathematical language and notations, specifically to represent equal angles and lengths.
I can estimate and calculate the area of a trapezoid.
Project Description
You will be asked to complete a geometric construction project in the near future that will require you to have mastered the above skills.
For now, use the information below along with other resources to become an expert in all of the above. Make sure you practice each skills 5-10 times before moving on to the next. For this, you can look for related questions in your Nelson Math Textbook.
You will be meeting with your teacher daily or bi-daily for support. Pick one thing you want help with before you go to your meeting.
