A Message from Ms. McKay
The Principal's Club kicked off this week, and we have SO many students showing us they are kind, safe, and responsible!! Different staff members each day have tickets to give to students they see doing an excellent job. So far, we have welcomed Mauro Toto, Analynn Brocher, TJ Brennan, Arthur Cole, Henry Gilson, JJ Marr, Mia Everett, Kaylahni Duncan, Henry McDorr, Jett Bilokonsky, Charlise Fowlie-Buhrmaster, Cameron Walker, Emma Jackson, Felicity Astor, Brayden Bilokonsky, Liliana Letourneau, Aurora Ferguson, Ange Mbemba, Omari Anderson, Nathaniel Sussman, Marcel Blanas, Andy Wilson, Max Harmon, Brynn Gilliam, Jade Brick, Christian Erickson and more to the club. This means these students have signed the "celebrity notebook" and have their names in our mystery prize chart. Way to go Principal's Club!!!

Lines from the Library
Reading is Fundamental, a literacy nonprofit with the goal of bringing the joy of reading to children so that they can become skilled readers, has graciously donated three brand new books to each child at the Dike Newell School. Books were distributed during students' weekly library classes. Students were very excited as well as appreciative of this wonderful gift. Many thanks to Doreen Fournier, Director of Community Impact for the United Way of Mid Coast Maine for encouraging the Dike Newell School to apply for this opportunity as well as to Reading is Fundamental for a great selection of high interest books.
