Notes from the Nurse
Are you ready for influenza season? According to the CDC, The symptoms of the flu can include fever or feeling feverish/chills, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches and fatigue (tiredness).
Cold symptoms are usually milder than the symptoms of flu. People with colds are more likely to have a runny or stuffy nose. Colds generally do not result in serious health problems.Take a look at the below infographic to help you decide if your child might have the flu. If you suspect the flu, see a health care provider for the best diagnosis and treatment.
It’s a good time to wash hands often, stay hydrated, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, and get lots of rest. Also, it’s not too late to get the flu vaccine at your doctor’s office to prevent illness.
