Principal's Corner
Thank you so much for all of your engagement and follow through on District Testing and the Student Surveys.
If you have not yet completed TWO Student Surveys, please see below.
ALL STUDENTS NEED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING SURVEYS:

ATTENTION PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Parent Teacher Conferences are coming up soon and we want to make this a simple process for all of you. Please fill out the form <HERE> so we can best serve you as parents/guardians.
Promenade Mall has voiced some concerns with us about young people smoking by the doors. If you are 18, it is your choice to smoke, but if you are underage or your are providing tobacco to someone who is underage, please understand you can be issued a ticket.

All students at TLA must come in and take this mandatory test. Failure take this survey will result in your Edgenuity Account being disabled. Use your Student ID to log into the survey.

Opportunities for Students
TULSA MAYOR'S YOUTH COUNCIL
The Tulsa Mayor's Youth Council is a learning organization designed to encourage high school students to become active in the community by participating in local government. Members of the Council will see firsthand the many faces of City government in action and learn to appreciate how much each contributes to the City's goals of public safety and quality of life. The members will also learn about the political process and how youth can have a voice in local government issues. In short, they'll have a backstage pass to The City of Tulsa.
Commitment:
All Tulsa Mayor's Youth Council members will be required to participate in the following:
1. Must be willing to attend and participate in scheduled meetings.
2. Must be willing to attend other meetings or events as opportunities arise.
3. Must be an active participant in at least one subcommittee.
4. Must have own transportation to and from meetings.
Requirements:
1. Must attend high school in the City of Tulsa maintaining a 2.5 GPA or better.
2. Must be a senior or junior during the program year which follows the school calendar year.
3. Must write a letter of interest.
4. Must submit a letter of recommendation from their school principal.
Action required for applicants by October 1, 2018:
The Application Packet should include:

College Application Timeline and ACT/SAT Testing Information
Daily Schedule and Student Attendance Updates
Actual in-person attendance is very individualized and determine by students' advisors. Once a student is scheduled, students must attend an AM (morning session) or PM (afternoon session). AM Sessions are 8:00-12:00 and PM Sessions are 12:00-4:00 Monday-Thursday. Once scheduled, students must be in attendance the entire session. Students are not allowed to leave TLA during ASSIGNED session. Students cannot reenter TLA once they have left.
Cell phones must also be checked in at the beginning of a session.
You are welcome to come in for any session and get extra help if you need it or just utilize the lab! Remember to bring your own headphones/ earbuds.
