Teacher Appreciation Week!

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and we want to send a big thank you to our fantastic staff that we have here at RMS. We are lucky to have such a dedicated and devoted group of teachers who truly care about the success of our students. Thank you for all that you do, both big and small!

This past Friday, May 6th, was also School Lunch Heroes Day! Our staff that works in the cafeteria is amazing and we appreciate all that they do!

The 5-week mark for Quarter 4 is this Friday, 5/12. Below is the link for an updated copy of Teacher Extra Help Times. Please review as some times have changed. We encourage students to reach out to a teacher that they may need extra support with!

8th Grade Trip to Washington DC!

From April 26 to April 28, our RMS 8th graders had the opportunity to take a trip to Washington DC, and we had a fantastic time! As you will see in pictures below, we saw many of the historic sights and had the opportunity to go to the African-American Museum, the Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the National Aquarium.

We want to applaud the students for their great behavior and respect that they showed while at the monuments and museums.

Also, thank you to the faculty and staff members who chaperoned the trip. We appreciate you putting your personal lives on hold to help assist to make a memorable experience for our students!

Lastly, thank you to Mr. Soltish for all of your planning and organizing to make this trip such a success!

RMS PTO Corner

The end of the year is right around the corner and we would like to thank you for your support this year. We have a lot of events we would like you to know about.

The RMS Staff Appreciation Luncheon is on Friday May 12th. Max's Melts food truck will be on the premises to serve yummy sandwiches and tater tots to the amazing RMS staff. We are looking for donations of drinks and desserts to round out this special thank you event. Monetary donations can be made by cash or check (made out to Rombout PTO) and sent to school in an envelope marked "For PTO Luncheon" with your contact information. Venmo donations can be made to @DotDiNobile; please include your name and "Lunch" in the information section. Please check out our donation sign-up link https://signup.com/go/OYfhbPj

We are holding our first ever RMS PTO Flea Market & Craft Fair on Saturday June 10th from 9am to 3pm. Come sell your new and old goods as we raise money for field trips, assemblies, and playground improvements. A 10'x10' space is only $20. Table rental is $14 each. The event will happen the same day as the city wide yard sale, so there will be lots of foot traffic heading our way. You keep your profits! Please reach out if you have any questions or would like more information. Reserve your space by filling out this form https://forms.gle/bybtkvauN4VNu8xt7

If there are any 8th grade parents interested in helping with the end of the year festivities, please contact us. The PTO provides food at the dance, a moving up day BBQ lunch, and a parting gift.

RMS Spirit Wear is on sale now through May 21. Order through https://myarlingtonink.com/Rombout/shop/home

We are accepting nominations for the 2023-2024 PTO board. We would really love your help! If you would like to know more about the board and positions please feel free to email or call Dottie DiNobile at 845-235-2098.
