Our Skills Leadership Team working hard to build the future of Career and Technical Education
Dear Parents, Guardians and CCT Community Members
Well the weather outside will definitely be frightful this evening, it is a good thing the warm ocean air will keep us safe from multiple inches of snow. Remember this year we are trying to get out as soon as possible, so they can demo the old Cape Cod Tech. So let's cross our fingers for no snow days! This month we have several events that are essential for our parents to attend. Please see information below to help you keep informed.
Parent Teacher Night is Thursday, December 12th 6-8pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for parents/ guardians to meet their student's teachers. Parents/guardians whose student had any grades lower then a "C" on their Trimester 1 report card must attend Parent Teacher Conferences. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend. Trimester 1 Report Cards will be mailed later this week. This will allow you to understand exactly why your student is not meeting the grade in their class and how you can support him/her.
If your student made honor roll, then you are invited to our Trimester 1 Honor Roll Breakfast on Friday, December 13th. You must RSVP when you receive the invite in your student's report card mailing.
I want to remind parents that we have early dismissals at 12:35 on Monday, December 2nd and 1:35 on Wednesday, December 18th. These are scheduled Professional Development Days for teachers.
Parents, we use SchoolBrains for our Student Record keeping. This system allows parents to review up to date grading, attendance and other information that will help you support your student. If you do not have access, please contact us at assistance@capetech.us
I have included a calendar for you so that you can prepare for upcoming events and evenings, just click the link below.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at: bterranova@capetech.us or at (508)432-4500 ext 216.
Thank you,
William Terranova, Principal

Attendance Matters
95.31%
That was our 1st trimester attendance rate! That is good, but it needs to be better. Last year our Trimester 1 Attendance Rate was 96.1%. Parents and students we need to work together to get this number up. Attendance matters.
The state expects a 95% rate for student attendance. We want to achieve a 95.9% rate for the year. We can do this, but students need to come to school everyday. No excuses. Remember, your boss will expect you at work everyday, and so will your co-workers. Build healthy habits now. Come to school because we want you here!
