Letter from Principal Lamothe
Hello PRS Wizards,
There is a lot of information in this newsletter. Please take some time to scroll through and look at the great work happening in specialists classes, the finalization of the School improvement Plan from School Council, and PTO happenings.
On a sad note for PRS but a happy note for Mrs. Whiting, I want to remind everyone Mrs. Whiting is retiring from PRS as of Monday, October 31st. At this time, I would like to welcome our new school Nurse, Mrs. Kristin Godfrey. Mrs. Godfrey has been working in the district over the past 2 years as a sub nurse and she helped fill positions during COVID. When you get a chance please stop by and say hello. We also had our 2nd fire drill of the year and the students filed out safely and in a timely manner while evacuating the building.
For those who are unaware, PRS does have a twitter handle that we try to use frequently to send out things in the moment. The twitter handle is @PRSHingham. We are working on an Instagram handle as well to try to reach more parents with daily activities happening in the school.

Birthday Book Club
PRS Birthday Book Club is back, and we are celebrating year- round! Be on the lookout for a flyer in your child's backpack. This year, we are asking that you submit your child's payment, form, and optional picture by the return date on the flyer, instead of during their birthday month. When your child's birthday month rolls around (summer birthdays are celebrated in June with the Birthday Book Club), they will receive a note to come down to the library to select their book. They will be the first to check it out- and it will have their picture inside if you sent one! A very special way to celebrate your child's special day!
Save the date for the 23rd annual PRS PTO 5K Road Race!
Saturday, November 19, 9am start
Register by November 2 to receive a t-shirt! We are also looking for sponsors-- both businesses and families.
The PRS Road Race is just around the corner. If you own or work for a company that would like to be a sponsor and have its logo on the popular race t-shirt, please pass along this letter for sponsorship consideration. Also, if your family would like to donate and be named on the t-shirt, information on how to make a donation is in the letter.
Book Fair
The PRS Scholastic Book Fair is coming up on November 7-9 (M-W). Hours are: Monday, 11/7 & Tuesday, 11/8 @ 2:30-4pm, and Wednesday, 11/0 from 4-7pm, all in the PRS gym.
