Hy-Vee Foundation Scholarships
The Hy-Vee Foundation is proud to award up to 80 - $1,000 scholarships to students seeking a four-year degree at any baccalaureate degree-granting college in the United States. The student must be currently working for Hy-Vee for the last 6 months. Click here for more information and an application or visit www.hy-vee.com and look under company info. Deadline to apply is February 10th.
The Nebraska Press Association Foundation Scholarships
The Nebraska Press Association Foundation scholarship applications for 2016-17 current high school seniors and college students are now available.
The Foundation will offer up to four total (high school and college) scholarships of $2,000 each.
Preference will be given to Nebraska students who will be pursuing newspaper journalism education at a Nebraska college or university.
Scholarship applications must be postmarked by February 17, 2017.
Fine Arts Scholarships: Art, Music, Theater
The Northern State University School of Fine Arts (located in South Dakota) is proud to announce its very first 2017 Fine Arts Invitational scholarship event for all interested and prospective students in the arts.
NSU Fine Arts Invitational Scholarship Event
Feb. 17-18, 2017

At the invitational, you can:
• Audition for music, art and theater scholarships
• Submit your art portfolio for review
The invitational will take place in the newly renovated Johnson Fine Arts Center on NSU’s beautiful campus.

UNK Art Scholarships
There are several Art Scholarships at the University of Nebraska Kearney ranging from $1,000 per semester to $6,000 per academic year. The students are evaluated based on their art ability and accomplished artwork. For more information, go to http://www.unk.edu/academics/art/scholarships.php. Scholarship applications are due February 24th.
Northeast Community College Scholarships
1. General Scholarships - online at www.northeast.edu/scholarships. Select "Online Scholarship Application". log in as a first time user to create an account to complete the scholarship application online. That single application will be used to consider students for all Northeast scholarships except those that indicate a separate application. Application is open until March 1st.
Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 (78% or higher) at Norfolk Senior High to apply for this scholarship. Click here for a Deans Scholarship Application or see the counseling center. These applications are due in the counseling center by February 22nd at 2:00 pm.
3. Lee D. Rawhouser - Qualifications: must be a Northeast Community College student in any regular course of study; must be maintaining a GPA of 2.0 or above; must be of good moral character; must show financial need; Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 (78% or higher) at Norfolk Senior High to apply for this scholarship. These applications are due in the counseling center by February 22nd at 2:00 pm.
4. Board of Governors Merit - The Board of Governors Merit Scholarship is based on academic achievement as demonstrated on the students ACT, COMPASS, or Accuplacer test scores (ACT composite of 23 or higher, Compass minimum: College Algebra 56; Reading 91; Writing 92, or Accuplacer minimum: College Level 63; Reading 102; Sentence Skills 104). The award is for full tuition for a maximum of four consecutive academic semesters (fall & spring terms only) for a student starting college in the fall term and who graduated from high school the previous May. Click here for more information. Complete the Application and return it to the NECC financial aid office by March 1st.
5. President's Scholarship for Early Entry Students - The President’s Scholarship is based on academic achievement and completion of at least one Northeast college credit class while in high school with an accumulated GPA of 3.0 or higher for all college classes. The award is for one-half tuition over four consecutive academic semesters (fall & spring terms only) for a student starting college in the fall term and who graduated from high school the previous May. Click here for more information. Complete the Application (same as Board of Governors Merit) and return it to the NECC financial aid office by March 1st.
The Nebraska Academy of Sciences Scholarship
The Nebraska Academy of Sciences sponsors a number of scholarships each year for High School seniors planning to attend Colleges or Universities in the State of Nebraska. Scholarships vary from $100 - $1,000. The scholarships offered require a scholarship application summary as well as supporting information in the form of essays, transcripts, testimonial letters from 2-3 supervisors or teachers, and list of activities and/or related accomplishments. Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska Foundation
The Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska Foundation is not accepting applications for 3 Memorial Scholarships (Chet Linder, Jay Jacupke, and the IIA of Omaha) each in the amount of $1,000. It is required that the applicant intend to major in business or a business-related field. Selection of the scholarship winner will be based on scholastic application, as well as participation and leadership in school, community activities, and educational goals. The applications must be postmarked by March 1st.
UNO Goodrich Scholarship
The Goodrich Scholarship Program application period opened October 1, 2016 and closes March 1, 2017 at 5:00PM (CST). Applicants can apply online at https://goodrich.fluidreview.com/. Unofficial high school transcripts and ACT/SAT scores are directly uploaded by the applicant in their Goodrich application account.
For convenience, please note that the EPPE is now offered online. Directions for this process can be reviewed at http://www.unomaha.edu/enrollment-management/testing-center/placement-exams/english-placement-proficiency-exam.php. Applicants must have their UNO NetID credentials (username and password) to register for this free exam. The FINAL EPPE date that will be accepted by Goodrich applicants is February 25. Because the EPPE is now offered online, we will only offer the in person and on campus EPPE exam 3 times (February 11, 24 and 25). The February 24 exam will have limited seats.
