If any of your classes changed or you are missing any textbooks/workbooks, please stop by the Hoover campus this Wednesday between 12pm-2pm.

Are You Interested in Engineering?

Sign up for the Johns Hopkins Biomedical Engineering Innovation and Explore Engineering Innovation courses!

The application is now open for the Spring Session of Biomedical Engineering is open now. The application for the Summer Session of of both courses will open on December 15th.

Both courses introduce students to engineering through hands-on labs and college-level lectures.


Students who earn an A or B have the opportunity to earn college credit!

Distance Learning Resource for Parents/Guardians

The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Educational Technology released a “Parent and Family Digital Learning Guide” to helping parents and guardians that may be struggling to support their child in a virtual learning environment.

PTA is here for you. Association meetings have provided critical information on remote learning, the college application process and help with social / emotional well being.


Plus your membership dues and donations can help fund our yearly scholarships for seniors students. The PTA has given away $20,000 over the past four years.

Community Service 2020-2021

The requirements to earn the community service awards have been adjusted. Student safety is our top priority, due to COVID-19 and closures, we have reduced the number of hours needed this year to earn the Tornado Community Service Award and added a NEW way to earn your pins and awards. 💁 Community Service Hours


The first Tobacco Use Prevention Education meeting will be on Thursday September 17th!

Are you interested in a career in health, getting tips for quitting smoke or helping a loved one to quit? Join us to learn about the effects of tobacco, vapes, and hookah on the body. Students will receive community service hours for completing 10 sessions. Join us on zoom every Thursday from 12-12:30 pm starting on the 17th. Contact Ms. Brownstein for more information:

Students who signed up to take the January 26th PSAT back in Oct/Nov should have received an email confirming their registration. Students please check your GUSD email to confirm you are signed up. More details about the test will be sent in the coming week.

If you are behind in credits and want to make up a class you need for your diploma you can sign up to take the class at Garfield Adult School. Enrollment and orientation is happening now please email me if you want to enroll. This semester Garfield classes are completely online so it it is a good time to work on credit recovery.

Garfield Adult School for Credit Recovery

If you are behind in credits and want to make up a class you need for your diploma you can sign up to take the class at Garfield Adult School. Enrollment and orientation is happening now so please email me if you want to enroll. This semester, Garfield classes are completely online so it it is a good time to work on credit recovery!
