Mrs. Greene's 3rd Grade
March 17, 2017
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I received a post-it note on my desk at the end of the day from Will. He would like to award me with MANY DOJOS for being the best teacher EVER! Isn't that so sweet? I'm not sure what I did to deserve such praise from him, but it sure made my FRIDAY!
We completed the IREADS test and I am here to tell you that EVERY SINGLE STUDENT in my class gave it their BEST!! I saw students checking their work and taking their time to make sure they were careful in selecting their answers. The results of the test will be here before we leave in May.
Don't forget that the Scholastic Book Fair starts on Monday, March 20 and runs through March 24. Students are allowed to shop on the days that he/she brings money to school. I don't allow students to miss time in the classroom, but they are allowed to visit the book fair during recess. There is a FAMILY NIGHT on March 21, from 5:30-7:30.
Next week we will be back on the same homework schedule with RAH and Spelling. It was nice to have a break from those two last week. I have been talking to the students about finishing the next 9 days (before Spring Break) strong by working hard in class and on homework. If we finish strong, Spring Break always seems much more deserved!
Enjoy your weekend!
