Opioid Prevention Resources for You
You Can Make a Difference in Preventing Opioid Abuse
Dear <insert name>,
In Washington State and throughout the U.S., prescription opioids are being misused at an alarming rate. Opioids are now one of the leading causes of injury-related deaths in Washington State. More people die from overdose than car crashes.
Through collaborative efforts, Educational Service District 112, SWACH, and prevention coalitions are offering medical and dental providers educational resources to inform and educate those at high risk for opioid misuse through a statewide prevention campaign Starts with One – funded by the Washington State Healthcare Authority – is a campaign designed to inform and educate young adults, their parents and older adults about the dangers of prescription drug misuse and the importance of safe storage, use and disposal.
