Our Lady of Mercy
NEWSLETTER | TERM 1 | WEEK 9 | 29 MARCH 2023
This term, the Kindy White students have been learning lots and most importantly, having fun! Students have been engaging in activities to learn about themselves, their name and all about their families. Students have enjoyed painting, drawing, colouring in, collaging, playing in the sandpit, reading stories and dancing! The students have been practising their cutting skills, learning to write their name, and practising their counting skills. This week we will be learning about the Easter story.
Loving God,
As Palm Sunday approaches, we open our hearts to the opportunities of Lent
and seek to walk more closely with you.
May we remember that love always finds a way forward,
as Jesus' cross has shown us.
With big hearts, may we work towards a brighter future for all generations.
We ask for your guidance and blessings as we live each day with faith and hope.
In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Dear Parents and Carers
With a little over one week to go before our Easter school holidays, we would like to thank families for your outstanding engagement with the teacher interview process. We had so many parents and carers take up the opportunity to meet with their child/ren’s classroom teachers. We appreciate your commitment in partnering with us on your child/ren’s learning journey. The evidence clearly points to improved learning outcomes for students whose families engage in their learning journey.
We have included our visual complaints process in this newsletter. It is important that our families feel confident to bring any concerns or complaints to our attention. We are on a constant journey to improve and like to hear your feedback.
On Thursday next week all students will have an opportunity to participate in the Stations of the Cross. As Catholics we draw strength from the Easter message of the Risen Lord and the transformative power of Jesus. We are strengthened by the teachings of Christ to help navigate a path through problems facing our families, communities, the Church and the world.
God bless you all.

We are also running a Major Prize this year, which is a lovely gift bag kindly donated by our friend and fellow P&F Committee member, Councillor James Rowe (City of Wanneroo). Each child can buy one ticket, for a cost of $5.00. This raffle will only have one winner.
We would also love any donations from parents of Easter chocolates and gifts. Please bring your donation to your child's classroom teacher by Friday, 31 March 2023.
All winners will be announced by Thursday 6th April 2023. We hope that everyone enjoys our 2023 Easter Raffle and that we can raise lots of money for our new Ninja Playground! Good luck everyone!
