"Lucky To Have You" Family Dance Night • Friday, March 17th
In response to our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students' excitement about their recent dance unit in PE, the 6th grade classes are hosting "Lucky To Have You" - a family dance night for all Terrace Middle School students and their families - in an effort to continue raising funds for 6th grade Science Camp in May. Well-known, local, and volunteer dance unit instructors - Larry and Zoe Richardson - will be onsite this evening for whole-group guided lessons; TMS students will show off their skills, and the adults accompanying our students will surely cut a rug, too. Refreshments and St. Patrick's Day items will be available for purchase to ensure no one is pinched, and admission is FREE to all. No-cost childcare will be provided by CLHS Rotary Interact Club members for our families who wish to bring their younger children.
We're looking forward to spending our evening with you
on Friday, March 17th, 2017 from 6-8 pm.
The Digital Lives of Young People: A Must-Watch Video
TMS Principal, Rachel Paarsch, strongly encourages all legal guardians of TMS students to watch the worthwhile and thought-provoking (embedded below) video about the digital lives of young people - also known as our very own TMS students. The TMS faculty and staff thank you for continuing to have regular discussions with your child(ren) about the importance of keeping ALL of our young people SAFE online. Your feedback on the content of this video is welcome, so please send any responses directly to Rachel Paarsch: rpaarsch@lakeport.k12.ca.us Thank you.

Career Days: March 6th & March 10th
Terrace Middle School's academic counselor, Mrs. Jenny Speak, has collaborated with fellow district counselors - Sarah Carey (LES), and Jodie Maize/Jessica O'Donnell (CLHS) - to plan and schedule two Career Days for our TMS students. Monday, March 6th will be Career Day for students in grades 6-8, and Friday, March 10th, our students in grades 4 and 5 will experience their own grade-level appropriate Career Day presentations. We'd love to have our students' parents/guardians sit in on and learn from the various college and career conversations that our presenters will share with our students on these two dates. Please contact Jenny Speak for additional information: jspeak@lakeport.k12.ca.us
