Our Mission: To Glorify God by making More and Better Disciples
Year-End Stewardship Report (2 of 2)
[This email is intended for First CRC professing members only. If you received this email in error, we apologize for the inconvenience.]
Members of First CRC,
The 2017-18 fiscal cycle has come and gone. This is an opportunity to stop and reflect on all that God has done for us over the course of the last year. As one of your Pastors, I want to thank you for your investment of time, talent, and treasure to Christ's Kingdom mission. It is because of your dedication that First CRC ministry is possible. "Thank You!"
Please give me a moment to update you on our year-end financial data in review:
Annual Approved Budget = $ 874,811
Total Annual Income = $ 815,999
Thus, we have received 93% of our annual approved budget and currently have a $58,811 shortfall.
Before we close our books for the fiscal year 2017-18, we are still hoping to raise $58,811 in order to meet all of our stewardship commitments across the board.
One of those financial commitments is our Denominational Ministry shares. This is our denominational fund-sharing program that helps with ministry programs such as Calvin Seminary, Global missions, Back to God Ministries International, as well as a series of other congregational services.
If you would still like to contribute to the 2017-18 budget shortfall, please prayerfully consider one of the following options:
- Come to the office with a financial donation, indicating your desire for it to be contributed to the 2017-18 budget shortfall, or
- Within the next two weeks (September 9 or 16), write “2017-18” in the memo of any financial gift during the offering.

Final Thoughts:
I think I speak for all of us when I say our heart's desire is to impact our community for the sake of Christ and for the advancement of His Kingdom. I also believe that God has placed us here, strategically, in Hanford for that very purpose.
One of the things we have been talking about as a Governing Council is asking a very simple question.
"Are we worthy of our tax-free status?"
In other words, would a non-Christian Hanford city representative actually rejoice in the fact that First CRC of Hanford sits on tax-free land at 2175 Leoni Drive? Well, we are on a mission to ensure the answer to that question is a resounding "YES!"
We want our community to rejoice in the fact that we are here, all in the name of Christ.
So one of the things you can look forward to in the coming year is an even greater commitment to making a local impact! Do you know we engaged in a total of 23 local serve projects last year? We hope to exceed 30 this year!
Once again, on behalf of Leadership and Staff, thank you all so much for your stewardship commitment! Most of all, I am grateful to God for His rich provision in our lives and in our church.
In Christ,
Pastor Justin
