State Science and Engineerying Fair Results - AG 6th Graders Excel!

Nebraska Junior Academy of Science 86th Annual State Science & Engineering Fair was a virtual-competition this year as it was last year. The state coordinator did predict that the fair will be held in person next year. Ashland Greenwood had three 6th grade projects that made it to the state competition. Six projects are taken from each region to compete in the state competition. The Junior Division Competition encompasses 6-8th grade. There was only one other 6th grade project at the state competition with most being 8th grade projects.

AG 6th grade competitors and awards are:

Alex Andres: Blue Ribbon Winner and one day Henry Doorly Zoo Pass

Ana Isom: Purple Ribbon Winner and one day Henry Doorly Zoo Pass

Adelyn Harms & Vanity Laughlin: Purple Ribbon and Medallion Winners, Nucor Corporation $50 Scholarship, and one day Henry Doorly Zoo Pass

Mrs. Bundy is extremely proud of these students for putting in the effort to compete this year. There was no grade attached to the projects. Students volunteered to compete in the science fair to enrich their own learning. This type of endeavor helps establish scientific principles that will help these students in future careers.
