Attendance Calls to Begin Oct. 25th

Submit Student Absence Notes Online. Here's How!

BCS Families/Caregivers, Students and Staff:

Next to starting the day with a full night's sleep and a good breakfast, regular attendance to school or class is primary to student academic success. Students cannot learn if they are not present and prepared to learn.

Beginning Tuesday, October 25th, BCS families/caregivers will begin receiving phone/text/email notifications if their student has been marked absent from school. To be sure that you are receiving school messages concerning your child's attendance, please update all contact information in your Family ID account (see below).

These messages will be sent to the primary caregiver according to the following schedule:

  • High and Middle school messages will be delivered at approximately 10:30am.
  • Elementary and Intermediate school messages will follow at 11:00 am.

Should you have questions after receiving a message, directions for follow up or contact with the school will be included in the message.
Have You Updated Your Student Emergency Information?

To ensure that you are receiving school messages concerning your child's attendance, please update all contact information in your Family ID account.

DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN SUBMIT A STUDENT EXCUSED ABSENCE NOTE ONLINE? See below for details! Please recognize that these notifications are a way to create an awareness for the family so that a partnership can be created, if needed, with your student's school to address any barriers a student/family may have to regular attendance.

Can I Submit a Student Excused Absence Note Online?

YES! Parents/guardians can submit student attendance notes electronically by using the link located under Attendance on the BCS website, or by using the button below.

Your school will continue to accept written parent/caregiver notes as well.

What Do I Need to Know to Submit An Absence Note Online?

You will need to know what school your child attends, the dates of the absences, and the reason that your child is absent.

We hope this online option is helpful to you. Thank you for being an invested partner in your student's attendance and academic success. Please reach out to your school with questions.
