This week we will continue the weathering and erosion unit. If weather permits, we will take a "weathering walk" outside to see examples of mechanical and chemical weathering around the school. We will also do a weathering lab to model various types of mechanical and chemical weathering.
Veterans Day
The WJMS annual Veterans Day Celebration will be held on November 11 at 9:00 in the gym. The faculty and students of the school want to invite all Veterans or current service personnel in our Armed Services to join our celebration. The program will include music from our band and chorus, recognition of all service personnel in attendance, and a reception for our guests after the program.
This year our school wants to give back to the brave men and women of our armed services who have sacrificed so much for our country. On Friday, November 8 we will hold a dance at the school for the students. All proceeds from the dance will be donated to Wounded Warrior Project.
In the weeks leading up to the program students will bring in the names and other service information about Veterans living or dead and currently serving personnel that are part of their family or friends of their family. We will put all named submitted on a Wall of Honor in our Atrium.
