Robinson Weekly Memo
Student Focused...World Class
Principal Note
Also, I have reminded them about the behavior and academic expectation in place for all of our major trips, such as, the 8th grade DC and Day Trips, 7th Grade Day Trips, and 6th Grade Camp Explore Trips, Band, Orchestra, and Choir Trips. They were told to contact their child's team or homeroom teacher to discuss these expectations further if they are unsure of the guidelines. It was also reiterated that these trips are a privilege for us to offer; however, the students are expected to meet the "Robinson Way" Expectations at both school and on any trips whether it be a field trip, athletic event, or special community event.
Finally, I want to thank you for a wonderful first quarter! I know that it has not been completely stress-free; however, we are so blessed to have a staff that is so dedicated to making RNR a great place to learn, grow, and work! This is only possible because of your commitment to bond as a school family and to provide our students with a world-class education! A special thanks to all of our staff members who volunteered their time to coach, run the scoreboard and collect money for the RNR/Sevier game - it was truly a community effort!
Thanks again,
Brian

Health Insurance Voting
This is to provide clarification and answers to questions that came up during insurance meetings:
HEALTH COACHES WILL NOT BE REQUIRED IN 2017 IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE PREMIUM DISCOUNT ON THE STATE’S PARTNERSHIP PROMISE PLAN (unless you have an identified disease management issue).
- Several employees had questions around the requirement for health coaches if they wanted to receive the premium discount under the State of Tennessee’s partnership plan (the “wellness” plan).
- The state is not requiring members to participate in the coaching calls for the 2017 plan year, unless you are identified with one of the following 5 chronic conditions: diabetes, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), congestive heart failure (CHF) and coronary artery disease (CAD).
- Please refer to the “2017 Partnership Promise Requirements” for more details on this plan. These requirements can be found under the staff only link on the KCS website or on the State’s Partners for Health website.
ABSENTEE VOTING
- Several employees have asked about absentee voting.
- I am accepting votes via email from employees who will not be present at a voting location on October 19th.
- Votes will be kept confidential and a ballot cast with the vote you indicate to me. Ballots do not contain names.
- If you feel comfortable sending a vote to me via email, please indicate the following:
o YES : Voting yes to return to the state plan
o NO: Voting no, do not return to the state plan. Remain self-insured with KCS.
Alternatively, we will accept votes in the HR department on October 17th, 18th and 19th (the week of the vote). You can cast these in person and they will be held in the voting box in our office until counted.
