Birmingham Robotics Team goes to Robotics World Championship
The Birmingham Robotics Team, Automation Nation, #2960, traveled to Houston, TX to face off against the best teams in the world at the FIRST Robotics Championship April 20-23rd. They competed in the round robin portion of the Galileo Division. The team’s record was an impressive 6 wins, 3 losses, and 1 tie, ranking 23rd out of 76 teams. The eventual World Champion came from the same division. Automation Nation also visited the Houston Space Center while in Texas. The team’s success was due to support from the school district, the Birmingham Ed. Foundation, industrial sponsors, engineering mentorship, great parents, great students, and teachers. Looking forward to gong back to Houston next year to do it again….and better.
