Big picture

Parents, we are looking for your feedback! Please read below for more information, and click on the link to take the state engagement survey.

Idaho’s custom parent survey is an important part of our focus on serving and engaging parents in our schools’ work. This survey gives you the chance to tell us how schools are doing in meeting your needs.

We will use these survey responses to find ways to maximize satisfaction, engagement, and communication. Additionally, the state will report the results and the number of responses on Idaho’s school report card https://idahoschools.org/

Thank you in advance for participating in this survey.

Levy Information

Time to request your absentee ballot

If you are a registered voter and would like an absentee ballot for the March 14 election, now is the time to request your ballot.

It's fast and easy! Just visit this link to submit your 2023 request. Or, you may use the attached request form.

Your absentee ballot will be mailed to you starting the week of Feb. 13. That means you can vote on our two school funding levies less than two weeks from today!

The final day to request an absentee ballot for the upcoming school levy election is March 3. Your request must be received by the county elections office by 5 p.m. that day.

Don't forget: A new absentee ballot request must be made each calendar year. If you voted by absentee ballot last year, you still need to make a new request to vote by absentee ballot this year.

5th graders in Mrs. Critchfield's enrichment class share their work as authors and creators with third graders!

Have you noticed our aquaponics? Take a look at those tomato plants!

Marcy Canale uses the new 'Be the Bee Pollinator'.

This gardening tool vibrates like a bumblebee to pollinate. It has soft silicone bristles to gently touch each flower to release and spread pollen.Tomatoes actually need wind or a bee frequency vibration to be able to release their pollen. Otherwise, they are unable to bear fruit.

Crosswalks: Thank you for keeping our children safe by using the crosswalks. We appreciate you!

We know it can be inconvenient, but with our icy roads, our whole focus is on student and family safety. Thank you, and please let us know if you have any questions.

Join us for Fernan's Chief Night, 2/24-- Only $10! (and $2 from each ticket goes back to Fernan!)

Calling all 3rd-5th Graders! Come join Fernan's Marimba Ensemble!

Meets Tuesdays at 8 am. Please contact Aaron Hayes for more information.

Weekly STEM Home Activity: Presidents Day Puppets

How adorable are these guys? These DIY finger-puppet presidents are perfect for younger students to act out some of these presidential fun facts. Use felt, glue, lace scraps, markers, and quarters (Washington) and pennies (Lincoln) to celebrate the birthday boys. Then add in other coins for more presidential fun.
