School Re-Opening Update

Based on Governor Beshear's Recommendations

Greendevil Family,

I want to update everyone on where we currently stand with plans for our 2020 - 2021 school year. As you are aware, yesterday Governor Andy Beshear recommended that Kentucky schools delay the start of in-person instruction until September 28 and we will follow his recommendation.

Our leadership team met this morning and our plan to Grow Forward looks like this:

Student Orientation Week

The week of August 24 – 28 will be Student Orientation Week.

This week will provide teachers the opportunity, using safety protocols, to distribute computer devices, review routines and procedures, and spend some time building relationships and getting (to know) their students. With our younger grade levels, we would like to bring family members in to these orientation meetings to make sure everyone clearly understands expectations and responsibilities

At-Home Instruction

At-home instruction will begin for students starting Monday, August 31.

We will continue on the At-Home plan until it is deemed appropriate for students and staff to return to in-person instruction.
