Kathryn's Kitchen Tips
The proper procedure for calling off work is to call your manager's work phone. Leave a message if the manager does not answer. Your voicemail should include what type of day you are taking (sick, personal). You can follow up with a text or personal call. Managers will contact Kathryn Feezel to discuss their substitute needs by calling 531-3050, option 4, email at kfeezel@valpo.k12.in.us or call/text to (512) 639-4125.
Due to COVID, the manager is required to ask if the employee is sick and having any COVID-related symptoms. If the employee is having COVID-related symptoms, the sick employee must contact Human Resources at (219) 531-3000 for further instruction.
Substitutes will always contact Kathryn Feezel at 531-3050, option 4, if they are not able to work their scheduled shift. Always leave a detailed voicemail if Kathryn doesn't answer.

FYI...all inventory transfers and production records are to be turned in to me, not Kathryn :)
Did you know...if a student has a negative balance in their account, but they have cash in hand to purchase a la carte items, you MUST allow them to pay cash for the items!

Timesheet Refreshers
Be sure to fill out your timesheet DAILY matching the correct date to the correct day of the week. The “Regular Hours” column will match the amount of hours you actually performed your job. Remember to get approval before you work extra hours and have the manager on site initial your timesheet. If you’re taking a PAID day off for any reason, enter the amount of shift hours you would normally work in the appropriate column - family illness, sick day, or personal day. Please make sure your day off is in the correct box. Don’t forget to fill out an absence sheet making sure that the date and reason for your absence matches your timesheet. Your regular hours and any paid time off should be added to your total hours. If you don’t have any paid time off remaining, enter a zero in the “Other” column. A “Request for Short Term Leave/Absence Without Leave” form will then need to be filled out.
