Library Books Purchased with Donation from Herald Endowment for Literacy
All of the books pictured above were purchased with a generous donation from The Herald Endowment for Literacy in Honor of A.T. and Cecilia Rumbach of the Dubois County Community Foundation. Each year members of the Rumbach family designate funds to the Southridge High School Library Media Center and Mrs. Lyons uses the money to purchase current, relevant literature to be entered into the collection. All of the books chosen this year were specifically requested by students and staff at the high school. We appreciate this support as we build a community of readers and lifelong learners.

Now is the time for students to apply for college financial aid for the upcoming school year. We want to ensure that our local students are not paying a fee to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Students need to know that the FAFSA is a government application required of every student seeking financial aid, and it is FREE! You can apply online at www.fafsa.gov. The state filing deadline is March 10 in order to qualify for Indiana state aid (including 21st Century program) for Fall 2014.
If students or parents need help filing the FAFSA, the Indiana Student Financial Aid Association is hosting College Goal Sunday on February 23rd at Vincennes University - Jasper. Computer labs will be open and financial aid professionals from Vincennes University will be on hand to help you complete and file the forms online. The event, which is free of charge, starts at 2 p.m. in the IU Southeast Library.
