"Leading with Heart"
Celebrations and Thank You's
Congratulations to Kristin's daughter, Lauren. Lauren completed the Detroit Free Press Marathon last week. She is to be commended for a job well-done.
Thank you for the birthday wishes. I am super excited to spend a little time with my family back home in Florida this weekend. I will be back on Monday ready to ROCK and ROLL. Next week will be busy for everyone.
Congratulations!!! Sheiko received 9 WBEF Grants. Hats Off to You!!!
Preparing for the Data Dig
1. Take a look at Illuminate Data and compare NWEA ELA % and the student F and P scores
- Are they in alignment? (If a student scored below the 30%, is their reading level also below grade level?)
- If they are not in alignment, we will dig deeper to determine why at our data meeting.
- Please have a list of students that we need to go deeper with and supporting scores.
2. Bring completed F and P's (highest instructional and a hard copy with a cover sheet
completed)
- Be thinking about accuracy/decoding and comprehension needs of your students
- A great reference is the Learning Continuum found in your F and P Kit. If you don't have one, see Susie prior to your scheduled meeting.
3. Bring fully charged computers

The first class will walk up the front hall to the other side of the building where each class will join in.
The line will proceed to go through the Preschool hallway, out the door, walk along the sidewalk near the car pick up, up the front driveway, then enter the building.
The front of the line will line up against the lockers to be spectators. Meaning, grade 5 students will be lined against their lockers as grade 3 and 4 passes through to their classrooms.
Once the last class has walked past (which will be Snead) classes can begin filing into their classroom for their parties.
Parties can go up to 2:45. Please remind your room parents to drop off their things, then park at Prince of Peace so that they are not blocked by buses. Buses typically begin coming in at 3:00 pm. Therefore, we want all parents out by then.
