LIBRARY MEDIA CENTER ADVISORY COMMITTEE
If anyone would like to serve on this committee, please email me at ccurtis@richlandone.org The school library media center advisory committee works in an advisory capacity with the library media center professional staff much as the school improvement council works with the building-level principal. In a like manner, the district library media advisory committee works with the district library media services supervisor. These advisory committees serve as the leading advocates for the school library media programs both within and beyond the school. We're having some major changes this year: iPads--how should we use them? Everyone has a Smart Board. Are we getting the best use from them? Computer replacements do not have to be computers this year! We can replace with mobile devices or other technology goodies. Common Core and Smarter Balance testing is going to guide some decisions for us. Be a part of the decision-making team!

They are free, Web-based sites that are user friendly and encourage a community of learners to explore and discover. I'll try to feature two or three each month in our newsletter.
