What Are We Learning?

This week, we are learning about Earth Day and recycling, reusing, and reducing! This week we are learning about the digraph "CH". We have been enjoying counting down with the ABC Countdown to Summer! Thanks to all who helped with items!


Reading Skills:

Phonics: Letter sounds, long vowels, blends


Phonological Awareness: Blending phonemes, isolation of sounds in words(ending and middle), and adding & deleting phonemes

Kindergarten Field Trip

The Kindergarten students at WECC have been given a great opportunity to experience a fieldtrip to “Leonardo’s Discovery Warehouse”, a hands-on children’s museum, in Enid.

Wednesday – April 27, 2016

Kindergarten Fieldtrip – (7:35 a.m. –2:20 p.m.)

TRIP PLANS:

· Load buses promptly at 7:35 A.M.

· Arrive in Enid at Leonardo’s

· Tour inside facilities

· Eat lunch

· Tour outside facilities

· Depart facilities

· Arrive in Woodward at 2:20 P.M.

STUDENT TRIP REQUIREMENTS:

· Permission form signed and returned to school by Wednesday, April 20th

· Each child must bring $3.00 by Wednesday, April 20th, to help with the $6.00 entrance admittance fee; (WECC’s student activity account will cover the other $3.00)

· Each child must bring a sack lunch in a disposable container with the child’s name clearly marked on the outside (NO lunch boxes, coolers, etc. – we will not bring anything home (food included), do not over pack - please!);

· Drinks will be furnished by the teacher; do not bring a drink.

· Arrangements must be made to have your child at school promptly at 7:30 A.M. on the date of the trip;

· We will be back in time for your child to get home in their usual manner.

· We are asking that students wear a shirt of their class color to help teachers easily identify students in a crowd.

*****OUR CLASS COLOR IS BLACK.

· Students need to wear tennis shoes. – No flip flops or sandals please!!!
